Launched in 2000, this composition represented a turning point in the history of amber/oriental perfumes.
A sensual perfume, powerful but perfectly controlled, intense and mysterious.
Composed by Maurice Roucel as an "act of seduction and generosity", Musc Ravageur is decidedly an oriental fragrance that breaks free from ephemeral fashions.
An explosive start of bergamot, mandarin and cinnamon on a base of vanilla, musk and amber.

The perfumer: In 1973, Maurice Roucel began his collaboration as a chemist in the Chanel laboratories.
As a self-taught and confident artist, he defines himself as "an explorer who wanders among formulas". During this period, he began to break down and study each formula and each raw material with an eye that is partly aesthete and partly chemist, which is his strength today.
His generous writing is often based on notes of musk, white flowers or amber. This is how he generates the opulent sensuality that is his signature.
Maurice Roucel's strong personality allows him to resist fashion.
This is how he created Musc Ravageur, a perfume that went against the grain of its time, a precursor of the new orientals that have come to prominence since 2001.
